The Three R's - Rebooting, Recyling and Remaking

This year, one of my grumps has been about revisioning, what bright overpaid and underworked spark thought it was okay to commission remakes of Fame and Footloose?

WTF!
Who thought Arlene would be better off Strictly than on?
Sugababes version 4, discuss?
The BBC remaking Jane Austen's Emma - AGAIN! Although, I'll gladly admit I have only persevered with Emma because of Johnny Lee Miller (the new Colin Firth?) and cos there's nothing else on.

I can see through Lady Gaga/Madonna-lite even if the rest of the world can't?

Anyhoo, what really started me on the slow burn to infuriation was Tron - is it really necessary to reboot it? I saw this film before I even knew what Star Wars was, I can trace my love for all things computer, cult and sci fi back to this exact film. Are Disney hedging they're bets with a new Disney Princess on the horizon? Does the appearance of Jeff Bridges mean that he's given it movie approval?

So I'm all of a tizzy, just because of four reimagined films - Tron, Alice in Wonderland, Footloose, and Karate Kid.

PS: Grrrr...there are no Hidden Mickeys in this trailer.
